Over the years, Level Extreme has succeeded in delivering and maintaining a great product known as the Universal Thread. The Universal Thread made its place right to the top by providing a wide range of services for the developer community. It has delivered a set of tools to help and promote the developer community. Created several years ago, the product relies on a solid infrastructure and focuses on .NET and SQL Server.

Michel Fournier is the owner of Level Extreme. He has been awarded the Microsoft MVP status in 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Michel Fournier is one of the very few people in the world who can claim to have built two major development frameworks on their own. He first built a Visual FoxPro framework in the late 1990’s and followed up with a very powerful .NET framework a few years later which provides a very unique and powerful way of approaching today's ongoing evolution of enterprise business applications.

• He is the designer, the architect and the owner of the Universal Thread, a Web site of 15 years of existence recognized by Microsoft, for its MVP program, which offers technical support for the developer's community. Created in 1993, the site became commercial in 1995. This site was the pioneer in the Visual FoxPro world, a product acquired by Microsoft at the beginning of the '90, which offers a database development environment. Today, this site is still the most popular related site in its domain.

• He was the designer, the architect and the owner of the Level Extreme Nightlife, a social site similar to Facebook for the Maritimes region. This site provided a dating platform as well as a portal of related activities such as the nightlife for the region.

• He was the designer, the architect and the co-owner of the Direct Martial Arts site, an international site promoting the martial arts industry across the world. On that site, of commercial nature, he had many responsibilities such as the marketing of the product, the business plan, the funding as well as its promotion.

• He is the designer and the technical lead for the new eMitchell Dashboard version, a nationwide car insurance platform recently adapted to the international market. This site is a property of Mitchell, an American company. This site is used on a daily basis by 1000 people and focuses on the transactional database aspect.

• He was the designer of the Leave Canada Now site, a site which was created during the national case "Level Extreme Inc. VS Revenue Canada Agency". This site is among a set of tools having been used for the creation of the recently created new Canadian international tax law in regards to e-commerce.

• Among his greatest realizations, we note several products such as the Level Extreme .NET Framework, a very powerful framework allowing RAD to deliver related .NET projects.

• He is the owner of the Universal Thread Magazine, an online magazine which is related to the technologies being supported on its front line product, the Universal Thread.

• By the use of the Universal Thread, he has established the necessary architecture to provide a reporting portal on international events in regards to Microsoft technologies. This portal has provided reports on 58 events so far which were presented in Canada, United States, Germany and Czech Republic.

• In January 2010, he has released his latest product known as the Level Extreme Entertainment Package which provides a Web site platform for small businesses. Several clients started to use it from the first month.

• For his implication in the developer's community, he has obtained the Microsoft Most Valued Professionals status in 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

• Level Extreme, by the use of its front line product, the Universal Thread, has obtained the Developers Choice award for the best Web site at the VFP DevCon 2000 Connections conference in New Orleans.

• In recognition for his research & development in regards to the Web Service technology, he has been asked to present a small segment during the "Bonus Session" at the DevCon 2001 conference in San Diego.

• When he returned to New Brunswick, he has been selected by the Acadie Nouvelle newspaper to be featured on their weekly weekend edition recognition article in regards to local individuals having made their mark on the international market. The article was titled "Michel Fournier, Connected to the World" and was published on October 18th, 2003.
