We get bears (and mountain lions, etc.) around here quite a bit. This spring it seemed like we had helicopters overhead for two weeks solid trying to find the bears that wandered down out of the mountains into town.

During a heat wave a few years ago, a news helicopter had hilarious footage of a bear that wandered into a back yard and went for a swim in the pool. Bear was completely chillin' while animal control tried to coax him out of the pool. LOL
