It's a tetrology. Look up "The Book Of The New Sun" on the Wiki. It'll give you the titles. It was also followed by the Book of the Long Sun and The Book of the Short Sun. For what it's worth, now that Phil Dick is gone, IMHO, Gene Wolfe is the best American writer still alive. And when Dick was still around, it was a toss-up.
