My question is more of an IT problem than a coding one as such. One of my clients is based in London. They are opening branches on the Continent in places such as Spain, Greece and Germany.

I know from past experience that the keyboard used in Spain has a lot more characters on it than say a US or British one.

Potential users of their service will be registering with my client using my software, however my question is not to do with Unicode but with the practicalities of supporting different languages on XP PC's. I know you can add different locales to one machine however that wouldn't directly help if I sourced and plugged in a Spanish keyboard? Will the client need a machine per language on which to enter the details? Can keyboards be switched without restarting the PC? Would virtual machines be an answer?

Any advice please?
