This limit applies as soon as one file related to the table you are using is reaching the limit. So, it could be DBF, CDX or FPT. It is most likely to be DBF and FPT.

This is also a situation I will have to start dealing with here. Despite a great design in place, this limit will apply in about two years. So, I will have to spread the data across multiple tables, remove the memo fields from the table or something else. There are various routes to use. If you consider switching to one that will avoid you to reach that limit in the future, then, you will be in the good way.
