curious as I am I checked your xml-parser and found the same problem I encountered when using the msxml-dll.
I am working with Onix which is a xml-subset created for thee bookbranch for book-title-information. And there is one provider of data where I can use his xml-files only with the msxml2.domdocument.4.0 version. Newer versions fail, other parsers work.well. Have you seen this behaviour too with other data?
