Sheldon Silver, former NY assembly leader, has been convicted.
Dean Skelos, former NY senate majority leader is Sheldon's cell mate.
Mayor Bill DeBlasio is under investigation by the FBI
Now it seems that Nassau County, my former home and Long Island's largest county, will be sending a couple of its own to keep the boys company.
I had to pleasure of meeting both Mangano and Venditto when I lived there. Nice fellas, but apparently overly partial to large sums of money.
It's nice to note the bi-partisan nature of crime in NY. Both parties doing their part.

Meanwhile, across the river the Bridgegate trial continues apace.
David Samson, Port Authority chairman, will be joining the fellas soon.
Hamilton lad, and former state senator Bill Baroni seems destined to be fitted for pinstripes.
Bridget Kelly (lovely Irish name) adds a feminist touch. She'll probably go where Martha Stewart went.
It seems that women want equal pay but not equal imprisonment.
It seems increasingly likely that Christie's name will at least be added to the suspect list and Andrew Cuomo, NY governor is a good candidate for inclusion.


The amazing part of all this is:
a. there actually are some honest prosecutors out there.
b. people actually point to "experience" in government as a reason to elect someone.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
