Yes I do see that . But. There's always a but. When the electoral system was set up it was a completely different world. In the times we have now of national politics,issues ,campaigns the internet etc doesn't it make more sense to have a national figure elected nationally on a one person one vote basis.

BTW I'm not arguing ths about Clinton Trump the same would apply if it was the other way round.
