You can use a popup and use it as the source of your listbox or combobox
In your form's listbox or combobox you set up the properties
RowSource = _myList
RowSourceType = 9
Then in the load of the form
define popup _myList
define bar 1 of _myList prompt 'Selection \<1'
define bar 2 of _myList prompt 'Selection \<2'
define bar 3 of _myList prompt 'Selection \<3'
define bar 4 of _myList prompt '\-'
define bar 5 of _myList prompt 'Selection \<5'
define bar 6 of _myList prompt 'Selection \<6'
define bar 7 of _myList prompt 'Selection \<7'
Finally in the destroy or unload or release of the form you release the popup
release popup _myList
You can set colors, fonts and other stuff in the bars too
