I do backup to an external hard drive. But they say it is a good idea to have a back up outside of the place of work (for me my home office), just in case. I can backup to a USB drive and put it in the bank safe deposit but it would require frequent trips back and forth. This is why I thought that a back up to a cloud (maybe once a week) would not be a bad idea. I have not checked what is available and the cost yet. So it is just a thought.
