>That sounds reasonable. The machine I'm working on here came with Win98SE preloaded and apparently AD is part of the package. I've got it turned off, but the AD option is still there on the Settings menu and the desktop property sheet. On another machine I have Win95 and I omitted the AD option when I first installed IE4. That box doesn't do the task bar trick, so it must be part of AD regardless of whether AD is turned on or off.
I don't think W95 does it all, with or without AD from IE4.
