I stand by my statement. Sometimes a refresh will not take place until a wait state is reached. In this case I am using the Wscript object to load and initialize MSDE, with a delay loop checking to see if the loading had completed. With both a label and a textbox which was immediately refreshed, the change was not visible on the screen until after the Wscript command had run.
