I realise my question as posed, was slightly ambiguous: I showed the '@$B' component in my example because I was simply trying to make the point that 'B' makes the data left justify whereas there is no equivalent for right justify.

However, your answer has helped me to wake up (it's been a while since 05:00 this morning when I started <g>). I just realised that it right justifies by default and my problem is my FONT!!!!! I did not change the cursor default font from a variable to fixed width font like courier. Aaaahh! Thnx. /psb
