Yeah - maybe that's better than trying for an SQL solution. I'm having 2nd thoughts about this whole thing now, though. After all, I'm doing this article entirely for free. However, if one does enough "free" hobby-articles of good enough quality, eventually they will begin to pay a small amount if you attract customers to buy the hobby publications. Sort of like Fox Advisor or Foxtalk articles, similar kind of thing - no one will get rich this way <g>

But I'll play around with Access/Excel a little more, see what I can devise. I might actually have better luck with the Excel ordering, as I know my way around Excel much better than Access, and there are more hobby Excel users than Access users, also.

I suppose I could publish a small article indicating how easy it is to do the ordering with vfp :-) I will defineitely mention our vfp tool in the hobby article, at least, it can't hurt.

Thanks for your input, anyway, Sergey, especially about the Access index limitations (or design, as one may call it :-)
