Hi Dean,

>>This appears to be something that religious groups known to support our president condone. If a person abstains from relations with a prostitute then there will not be the possibility of transmission of infectious diseases.
>
>Well it may not eliminate the spread totally, but if prostitution would stop, that would eliminate one way AIDS is spread.

This seems a perfect example of a statement comming from the in my eyes "most hypocritic spot on earth..."
As we say prostitution is the oldest occupation on earth. Thinking you can stop it is foolish. trying to reflect your morale onto another is not going to make the problem disappear. We all know that homosexual intercourse is also a very big cause of the spread of AIDS, so should we exclude them from treatment as well ? And, lets see. There are the drug addicted who reuse needles and catch AIDS this way. Should we exclude them as well ??

Lets see, the US government has already tried:
- to forbid alcohol: They lost.
- to suppress blacks: They lost.
- to ban prostitution: they are loosing it.
- to ban drugs: They are loosing it.
- to forbid homosexual marriage: They're losing it.

You are fighting against reality. You'd better stick with reality then and do what we can to reduce unneedless suffering from AIDS to EVERYONE..

>>The practicality of such an approach is doomed to failure. There is no understanding of reality or compassion in this approach. It is a holier then thou attitude. You must suffer because you have sinned! In the process of dictating morality, many more will suffer!
>
>So lets use the money that can help the innocent victims (and there are plenty of them) to help someone who volunteerly and willingly participated in ricky activity.

So who is going to be the judge of that ??? This indeed is a holier then thou attitude that certainly does not belong in the 21st century. It really makes me sick.
