I cannot speak to what was said in the VB forum. However, I don't see a problem with bound controls with the exception that, when using a controlsource in a class, you are forcing the use of a certain field name. This can be a problem under certain circumstances.

However, having said that, 98% of the time I use control sources. So, I really do not know what their issue is.
