I'm trying to use the VFP HexEdit app for the first time in a long, long time, and it's bombing on me. I've tried in VFP 9 SP2 and SP2, VFP 8 and VFP 7 (running the appropriate version of the app in each VFP version). In all but VFP 7, I'm getting a form error:

Error loading file - record number 63. grdChar < or one of its members >. Height : Error with grdChar - Height : Expression evaluated to an illegal value

So, of course, I opened the form (HexEdit.SCX) and took a look at the Properties memo of record 63, which is grdChar. Nothing suspicious in the least there. Height is set to 24, which seems reasonable.

In VFP 7, trying to run HexEdit crashes VFP entirely.

So is that tool working for anybody? Anybody run into this problem before?
