I don't have one, but from what I understand, it is pretty much like you say ... an iPhone without the Phone part. They make them bigger than 8gb (16 and 32), but I'm guessing you're wanting to buy the least expensive, right? <g>

I have been *thinking* about getting one, but haven't done it yet.
