I don't think you'd be "horrified." You would simply set AllowAddNew to .F., since your own code does a better job.

Quite right. We bandy that word around a lot. We really mean "requires little or no learning," i.e. it conforms to behavior we expect.

I should have said that I think simply focusing the empty row at the bottom of the grid should add a record. Whether that's done by the keyboard or the mouse would be the user's choice.
