I'd like to send out a few automatic alert emails without depending on outlook.

The simplest way seems to be ShellExecute("mailto:foo@bar.com"), but the email is just created and not sent. Is there a way to get a handle to the mail message, send it, and close the window? I suspect there isnt. Another simple method? It would be nice if the mail was sent generically too, not from a particular user.
