The ones that really seem to have the most problems are the semi-truck drivers - this happens to them all the time as those guys often have a lot of cash in the cab of the truck....I suppose the fact that these guys buy 300 gallons of gas at a time escapes some of these "police". This case does seem a bit odd though - 200k is a lot of money to be carrying around - but even so the "police" shouldn't be stealing it just because you have it...

This was standard procedure in Florida during the 80's. I-95 was THE drug route for the east coast. Dunno if they still do.

They had many court challenges about it, but usually all those did was reinforce the reason for the stops - the dirtbags heading back from drug sales up north with hundreds of thousands of $$ cash with no visible means of support were blatently obvious.
