That's true.
We specialize in highly customized ERP and Accounting systems and 5 years ago, if I walked into a client's office, our app would have been showing on the majority of the screens.
Now i'ts often buried down on the task bar somewhere while the users deal with client emails, web-conferences, browsing, etc. Much of our work lately has involved eliminating some of the traditional user interaction with the ERP system by going directly to primary sources like customers and suppliers and by emailing outputs or posting them on web sites as they become available instead of having the user print and distribute them.
So if anything the big screen requirements for ERP are diminishing, not expanding.
