wanted to say something similar, and
"explored the water filled cave tunnels at temperatures barely above freezing."
I distinctly believe my barbarous ancestors had it right to move south to escape the cold, so this is not for me...
and

there will be some tourism established like it is becoming "normal" to climb the Everest -
even if the climbing is done by a maniple of sherpas.
