I'm on my 2nd Kindle (I skipped version 1.0) and I love it. I know a lot of people rave about the Nook, but I think the Kindle's "ink" is a lot easier on the eyes than a backlit screen, like the Nook (I'm assuming the new Nook is still backlit, don't really know though).

I use my Kindle primarily for fiction. I've used it for a few technical (.NET) books and it's not as handy as a real book would be ... although portability is still a big plus. In any case, for pleasure reading, it's a pleasure! <g>
