I've never seen an identity column NOT follow the appended sequence, but as you say, it can't be logically proven that it won't.
That said, I think JR's question also addresses the way a VFP remote view saves the data.
I've never used one. I've only used SPT.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
