>The first thing I do is to "split .app/.exe" on this .app that I have. That spits out a bunch of files [...] some of them were .spx files.

That step is correct.

>Then when I try to decompile the spx it makes an .spr for me.

That step is correct, and is the last step.

>But when I try to decompile the .spr it tries to make an .ref but gives me an error that "the program is not FoxPro 2.*"

This step is giving you an error because it's incorrect to do it. You can't "decompile" an .spr because it's not compiled. It's code, it's like a .prg file but it was created by GENSCRN from an scx. As far as I know there's no way to get from the .spr to an .scx using refox. (You say .spx below, but that's what you came from. You mean you want to get to an .scx, right?) Once you've gotten the .spr, as far as I know, all you can do is look at the code and reproduce the .scx by hand.

>Do you notice something I'm doing wrong? At one point I was able to get it to make an *.spx (I think by specifically typing ..../about.spx" into the output line) but when I tried to modify screen about.spx in Foxpro I got a "not a table/dbf" error.

If someone knows I'm full of ... it, please let me know. I'd like to know that there IS a way to get from a refoxed .spr to an .scx.
