Hello all. I need to trap an I/O error in NT. I have done something similar before and for the life of me I cant remember where. There was a way to trap the system message and use that info to generate a user usable message. You know like please remove the 5.25" floppy disk, unfold and insert an actual 3.5 inch disk. <bg>

in reality I have a diskette checking routine that works great through 95 but not in NT. Instead of my message the user gets abort retry fail message box from NT.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animated contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsel or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
