I hadn't meant that literally; most people do eventually read all or most of a thread that they started. It'd just shown how far afield we'd gone, and how much trouble people had gotten themselves into by not reading what had come beforehand in a thread. You'd be surprised how far from the original topic conversartions had gotten after a couple of days and a few hundred messages had passed...
