That's a possibility... certainly cheaper than a couple of NIC's - not to mention the time to set it up!

As I understand things, that would mean any nosey person could simply get access to my PC through the internet - although if I use proxy or NAT, it creates a low-end kind of firewall. I recall an article in InfoWorld recently in which the outhor found a lot of people querying his machine once he established a full time internet connection (through DSL or Cable or something like that).

Have you been monitoring for that kind of thing? Do you host your web site in your home?
