Actually, at least one computer manufacturer I know of, DEC, used to call the key component of its operating systems The Monitor.

But that's OK. Overloading names is cool, to hell with ambiguity! (I think I'll write a method called Ambiguity which searches a random number of generations up the class hierarchy to find out what to do!)

(sorry...it's friday and I've been suffering the slings and arrows of hidden behaviors of VFP baseclasses most of the week. Must let off some steam!)
