Thanks for the reply. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to print this one out and save your name. I just had another friend ask me if I would be interested in helping out a friend of theirs who has SBT.

This one also sounds like a need for the recurring entry feature.

I would assume that the typical process is to create a front end for the creation of the text file. With the frontend being tailored to their industry? I would also assume that this is a quick and simple way to provide a method to track detail somewhere, yet get the necessary accounting data into SBT?

Then just let the user generate recurring entries. You can do this without source, although you can still use their API in the SBTPROC file.
