However, I want the page numbering for the second report to continue from the first report. for example, if there are 3 pages in the first report, i want the first page of the second report to begin with "4". Can this be done?

Yes. AFAIK, you will have to save the _PAGENO variable from the first report to a property or variable that can be used in the second report (use _PAGENO + SavedPageNumber as the page number in 2nd report).

>b. i have another report where i want the content of the detail band of the report to be centered, vertically, within the detail band. since there will not always enough information in the detail band to fill it, i want to leave blank space above and below the content. the content of the detail band will include a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6 memo fields. can this be done?

I think so. Just work with the Field Position and the Remove Line if Blank settings for the fields.
