Things like skip,next, goto and seek (and the like) to navigate the logical order of the table. I thought a record pointer was required for these functions. Like the carriage return sequence in a direct access flat file, like the little arrow on the left of the browse window of a cursor. I'm not good with computer words., - BUT - I thought I knew what a record pointer was. And now - now - you tell me there is no such thing (a record pointer) in DBFs. I've got blisters on my fingers. My eyes quiver at 60Hz - and now no record pointer. What to do - What to do.
