>Thanks for your offer Jim, Im going to take you up on that. Im fairly sure that the task is quite a simple one for those in the know. I see you also were involved at one stage in POS. Its my bread and butter at the mo. I started using VFP last year and already I am very excited with the results. But its a learning curve. Im in the bis. for almost 20 years now but up to last year that was all in DOS. (Can you believe it). Anyhow I will prepare an E-mail for you to take a look.
I can believe it. I just recently completed moving a POS system into the 1990's by rewriting it in VFP 6. The DOS code worked, but became difficult to maintain and close to impossible to keep up with the client's wish list. I dreaded making the move, but it was well worth the effort. The learning curve wasn't that steep, but required a change in thinking. Processes that were quite complex in FPD were greatly simplified under VFP with it's enhanced features and functions. I am still far from fully exploiting VFP's power, Still learning on a daily basis.
