Derek,

Maybe I should have mentioned that I want to simulate perfomance of public lines (leased lines and public networks), so 10 Mb is in that point of view a very high rate (and very high $$$ too :-( ). I was thinking of speeds starting from 128k ...

On my NIC I can only switch between 100/10 Mb, half/full duplex...

Pascal.

In Win2k there is a button called 'Configure', found on the top of the very first tab frame, or in Win95/Win95 you'll see the adapter within the components list. Either click this button or double-click the item in the component list.

One will be called 'Link Speed', or words to that effect. You can change this from Auto-Detect, to 10Mb; this will throttle the bandwith. Don't forget to change this back after your tests or you'll be on tortoise speed.
