Just like poets should be forbidden to read their poems aloud, or writers to translate their own stuff.

Still, in Dylan's case, if he learned how to sing, that wouldn't be it anymore. His "product" (if we speak in production terms) was not the singing. It was pretty much anything else, including himself.
