Here is a quote that I will never forget, which came during December 1966, and is so typical of the military. This occurred at Richards-Gabeur Air Force Base, Grandview, Missouri, Harry Truman country.

"Official:

December 25th will be recognized as Christmas Day.

By order of the Base Commander"


Without that letter I would never have known it! Gee, I wonder why I did not reenlist? This still makes me laugh. :)
