>>I am an “Original Christian” – a Catholic. We are taught we are forgiven and should forgive. Never hold on to a negative thought or experience in life. Look for the good and it will find you. Be positive towards others even when they offend you. You will always have your dignity intact.

>One thing to ponder regarding the nature of forgiveness.. If you forgive someone who has 'wronged' you you actually gain power over them. The moment you forgive anything they've deliberately done to you their power to harm you is disolved. Not by retaliation - the endless cycle downward - but by a 'higher' approach.

>All those in life who consider themselves victims could be free in an instant if they'd abandon their desire to clutch 'victimhood' for forgiveness. Sadly, many never use this key to unlock their own chains...

I believe it was Descartes who said, "Whenever I am offended, I try to raise my soul so high that the offense cannot reach it." Seems to fit.< s >
