>I hope that the 2 1/2 - 3 hour journey is not your typical commute! We have a number of people where I work that commute 150 miles one way each work day. I have met many people at other companies that also do this. It is expensive to live in the San Francisco Bay Area, but you have to be nuts to spend so many hours on the road each day.

I've met people who do similar, crazy IMO.

The children have a weeks holiday next week, so I'm having a long weekend & taking them to see their grandparents. The eastern side of the UK hasn't got a very good road system & Friday nights tend to be busy.

I get to indulge myself in my passion whilst I'm there too, forgetting about work & everything related for a few days. I do voluntary work at a birds of prey rescue centre - cleaning out in the morning & flying the birds in the afternoon.
