I have an application that will look for the IP establish a connection through the LAN when needed and allow FTP put,get,list.

The problem I have is the same as yours, How can the application force the end user to do an established dial-up connection when the 'direct' connection fails?

Where can I look up info for RASDIAL, that sounds like stuff!
