Sorry, can't help you here. At the time I was doing this, ODBC was far slower, and was not an option at all, so we always used the Fox2x approach. Maybe ODBC is still slower - depending on your situation, you may still have time to go the Fox2x route. Besides, that way you're in full control, you do everything from within VFP.
