With MS Office XP Professional (540$): 1 190$

With MS Office XP Developer (800$): 1 450$

MSDN Universal 7.0 2 700$

It will cost you about 1 250$ to 1 570$ more to subscribe to MSDN, but you will receive nearly all software from Microsoft plus the beta and release candidate versions of future versions.
