That is what the FAQ basically says. Access is for users (power users if you like). It is part of MS Office.

VFP is for professional developers. It is an object oriented language, geared toward data bases. It creates stand alone EXEs (tokenized compiled code that needs a runtime, like in VB6 but let's not be picky).

VFP can be used to create N-Tier systems. It can be used in any of the tiers of an N-Tier system or even in all the Tiers (GUI, middle and database back end). Not with Access.

VFP can natively create and consume XML and Web Services. Not in Access.
