Jess,
I would like to comment on one item in your list:
>>Another sentiments I have is that the lack of Books re: VFP that is bec. of >>MS attitude on the product.

The lack of books has more to do with the publishers than MS. Publishers publish books to make $$$. If the sales are not there then we get no books. I only tell you this because I am very familiar with this process. Having co-authored Visual FoxPro 5 Enterprise development with John Petersen and Ron Talmage.

From the information we have gathered we are going to be the only Tahoe book published by a major main stream publisher. There may be others but as of now this is the case.

What I feel is that the lack of books is becoming a self fulfilling prophecy. publishers say "There is no market for VFP books so we won't publish any books." then other people say "There are no books for VFP, must be dead."

So how do we fix this problem. How about calling the publishers and asking whether they are publishing another VFP book. Who do you call: look in your current books for a title called: Acquisition Editor or publisher then call that person and ask. Maybe if they get enough inquiries they will publish a book.

Thanks,
Rod

PS. Also when these books get published you need to buy them. That's the only way they keep getting published.
