We did an application for a client that allows the user to display technical drawings that were scanned and saved as .bmp files. The user makes choices from several combos whose values then are used to search a data file to find a match, the match returns the name of the .bmp file and it is displayed by changing picture property of image control on form. The displayed .bmp has reference numbers that are part of the image, a seperate grid displays reference number and descriptions for the current image. Double click on any line in the grid or highlight any line in grid and press ENTER to display additional data related to the reference number for current image.

The problem now is client wants to click on refernce number to get to related data, I have experimented with hot spots using invisible buttons or shapes, but the application has several thousand .bmp images. Is it possible to have .bmp file contain objects ? Has anyone worked on a project like this that we could possibly contract for some assistance ?
