>>>Nick, I'm not a very proficient VFP programmer, but for a Modal Form which automatically reads events, VFP requires a form to be in a form set. For one of my projects that means dozens of form sets each with only one form in them! I have asked another question about how to use multiple forms in a form set, because I can't get it to work!

>>David, I don't use formsets at all now (I tried, when I started with VFP but found it just extra thing which I don't need.) Did you consider using of pageframes instead of formset? You can use Modal forms with no problems without formsets. Do you issue READ EVENTS in your start program? Are you using any framework?

It just seems strange to me that "Formsets" do not seem to make it easy to do what I would assume a "set of forms" would do! I wonder if v6 has taken this into account! Thanks for your comments.

IMHO, nested pageframes could make the form appearance too complicated for users.
There is an opinion, that the main reason for existence of formsets in VFP is to provide easy conversion of FPW screen sets.
