Description
This is yet another FoxPro text search and replace utility across files. Searches can be performed by directories or by project. Search criteria includes whole word, phrase, OR, and AND choices. Ability to edit the file object (form, class, etc.) from the search results is provided by launching the appropriate MODIFY command. Added the Print functionality in this release. This application uses two ActiveX controls: CodeMax (for an editor view) and the Microsoft Hierarchical FlexGrid (for displaying the search results). Double-clicking on the search results has two outcomes: Double-clicking on the file name (column 1) will launch the appropriate MODIFIY command to allow editing the file as normal. Double-clicking on the right three most columns will bring up the editor view. Bookmarks are provided for the search result positions. Note: the editor is in read-only mode. The form can be resized and the positions will be retained in the Registry under the following key: \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GKK Industries\FoxPro TextSearch The replace functionality is implemented after performing a search operation. The REPLACE button will replace entries selected by double-clicking on the "REPL" column (third column). The REPLACE ALL button will replace all found objects. Note: the replace command is only available for a singe word search or a phrase search. This program is copyright 2003 by Gregory Green. All rights reserved. I have developed a custom class for exporting a standard report (FRX) to Microsoft Word 97 or higher. Included is an example of using the class. The exported text is placed into a table format in Word.
