Were the progs, forms and reports excluded in the project on build?

>I carried a .app file for installation at my Client's Office. A few minor changes were discussed. The changes I need to make are on a couple of Programs, Forms & Reports. I tried copying the files to which changes were needed into the path. I thought changes done to these would be given priority effect. It did'nt happen. The program ran as according to the .app file that I had carried. What is it that I should be doing. Can someone please give me a solution.
