Did you ever find a solution for this? Are you on XP or windows 2000? I think you should be able to go into your network connections and see it there. If it works like the other VPN's I've seen, it actually creates a new network adapter and a new local area connection. You might be able to make some adjustments to that local area netowork connection and/or do a 'repair'....
