I'm looking for a drawing program to develop my ER model diagram. I am using Visio4 standard version which is working ineffective and inefficient. Now, I am trying Flowcharter7 trial version. It works better than Vision4 but it misses some very useful function that Visio4 have.

The new version Visio5 comes out. The software sales told me it has Technical version(total three kinds of version, Standard, Professional, Technical) which is more powerful and expensive (double the price).

My requirement of the drawing program is intelligent, user friendly and fast. Any suggestion is welcome
